Oh, what a web we have weaved
within our hearts,
within the world that surrounds us
the distractions, noise, eruptions,
testaments to come between us
Yet, we found a way into each other’s arms
Embracing the fire within
A new chapter, a new love
We both never knew nor experienced
the puzzle of my heart
put back together, piece by piece
determination, confidence, and patience
even though I came in like a hurricane
even though the wreckage, self-sabotage
Still, my lighthouse is left standing
for me to search for, to hold onto.
Is it fate or purely luck?
For we both make ourselves better for one another
A secret muse that brings me joy,
not very well hidden,
through my eyes, my laughs and smiles,
my embrace, this poem…
All reveal the truth.
Forever my safe space, my peace,
