Soul Sisters (Poetry)

Not stitched by shade,
not bound by surface stories
the world tries to file us under—
we are a frequency,
a quiet recognition in crowded rooms,
like, there you are… I’ve known you before the knowing.

Soul sisters—
not by pigmentation,
but by the rhythm of thought,
the mirror of feeling,
the way our attitudes nod in agreement
before words even clock in.

We met somewhere between
survival and becoming,
where laughter had bruises
and trust had to relearn its own name.

Sometimes the bond came wrapped in trauma,
a barbed-wire handshake
that said, you too?
and instead of bleeding out,
we built armor from understanding—
stitched wounds into wisdom,
turned pain into a language only we speak fluently.

To my bestest friends in this wild orbit—
thank you for being my guardians
when the world tried to rewrite me in pencil.
You held the pen in ink.

Through thick, through thin,
through truth cracking open like thunder—
we didn’t scatter.
We stood.
We stayed intact when illusions collapsed,
because our foundation was never built on fantasy.

You protect me like quiet security in chaos,
and I walk with my head on a swivel—
not from fear,
But from love sharpened into awareness.
Because protection goes both ways,
And loyalty is a two-handed grip.

We are a success they can’t counterfeit—
no blueprint, no formula, no entry point.
Even if it meant I had to sacrifice pieces of myself
to grow into the version who could stand beside you—
I would do it again without hesitation.

Because this—
this bond, this alignment, this unspoken oath—
isn’t just friendship.

It’s survival turned sacred.
It’s truth with a heartbeat.
It’s soul recognizing soul and saying,

I got you. Always.
